Parent Code of Conduct

When we adults remember our own youth we often marvel at the breadth and depth of youth sporting opportunities available today.  As a society we have done a remarkable job of providing access and activities for our children. This opportunity to participate has also brought some less desirable “opportunities”. We have all either heard or witnessed youth sports horror stories. As our association president has clearly stated, this association’s mission is to provide sporting activities for our youth.  Our mission is to provide structured play for the recreational amusement of our children where they can learn some of life’s lessons gently and in a positive environment.  It’s not about us, it’s about kids. To this end, as reinforcement, Eagan Athletic Association has developed a code of conduct for parents, participants, and spectators. This is a simple and straightforward set of do’s and don’ts that most need no reminding of.  However, because public perception is important, the association has decided to require this code as a pledge and guideline. The code is meant as a baseline document and may be supplemented by more elaborate rules in some sports programs at the discretion of their boards of directors. The code is available at the more information link below and should be printed, signed, and presented to the coaches along with the health forms.
