Spring/Summer and Fall Recreational Leagues Grades Kindergarten through Two:

Each grade/gender makes up a league:

K-1 play micro soccer on small fields with no goals. Kindergarten teams have boys and girls on the same team.

2nd grade plays on age appropriate full length fields with goals.

All refereeing is done by the parent coaches.  The emphasis is on small sided games, each team divides in half so all participate the entire hour, basic skill development, good sportsmanship, and FUN.  No scores or standings are kept.  All games are played on Eagan fields, determined by the City of Eagan roughly two months prior to the start of the season.  During the Spring/Summer, each team plays two nights a week (usually Monday through Thursday).  The season runs from mid May until mid July.  During the Fall, the first two weeks are played during the week; each team plays two nights a week (usually Monday through Thursday).  After those first two weeks, each team plays once during the week and once on Saturdays.  A Bowling event is held for this age group during the Fall season.

Spring/Summer Recreational Leagues Third through Sixth Grade for boys Third through Eighth Grade for girls:

Summer leagues are typically divided by grade and gender. The exceptions being Third and Fourth grade boys play together, Fifth and Sixth grade boys play together and Sixth through Eighth grade girls play together. This may vary depending on enrollment.

The number of players on the field is set by the Director prior to the start of the season. This number will vary from six to eleven.  The driving factor for determining the number of players on the field is the number of children registered. Fifth through Eighth grades have a tournament, which is held at the end of the season.  Certified center referees are provided for all league games.

The emphasis is on basic skill development, league games, good sportsmanship, and FUN.  Scores and standings are kept.  All games are played on Eagan fields.  Each team plays two nights a week (usually Monday through Thursday).  The season runs from mid May until mid July.

Fall Recreational Leagues Grades Third through Six

The teams are typically divided up by grade/gender with fifth and sixth grades playing together.  The fifth/sixth grade teams participate in an end of season tournament.  It is held on the weekend following the last Saturday games, around mid-October.

The number of players on the field gets set by the Director prior to the start of the season.  The driving factor for determining the number of players on the field is the team sizes.  When possible, we try to have 9 players plus a goalie and 13 players on a team.  The field dimensions for this age group is 80 X 60.  Certified center referees are provided for all games.  The emphasis is on basic skill development, game situations, good sportsmanship, and FUN.  Scores are kept; Standings are kept for the fifth/sixth graders.

The season typically runs from mid-August to mid-October (typically 7 weeks).  The first two weeks of the season are played during the week; each team plays two nights a week (usually Monday through Friday).  After those first two weeks, each team plays once during the week and once on Saturdays.  A Bowling event is held for third and fourth graders.
