REGISTRATION
How do I register online?
Go to the EAA web site at
www.eaasports.org, scroll down and select
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLINE. You
will then be brought to the EAA Online Registration System. You might
need to click OK at a Security Alert box before entering the EAA Online
Registration System.
Once in the registration
system, you will first see an Introductory Page. Go to the bottom of
this page and select the Step 2 button. Next, the Registration
Form will be displayed with a Select a Sport drop-down list near
the top. Drop down the sport list and select the sport you want to
register your child for. It is recommended to select the sport prior
to completing the rest of the registration information. Once the
sport is selected, continue filling in the rest of the registration form
and follow the directions on each screen.
Prior to the In-Person
Registration, you may pay using a credit card (recommended) or a check
(either brought to the In-Person Registration or mailed to the address
on the form). After the In-Person Registration has occurred, you must
either use a credit card or mail in your registration form and payment.
Your registration is NOT complete until payment has been received.
How do I know if my online registration was
successful?
When you register online
you will receive an email confirmation message from our credit card
merchant with the details of your transaction. Within a few day of
completing your registration, you will also receive an email message
from your sport program. If you do not receive these messages, your
online registration did not complete properly and your child is not
registered. Please contact Anne Kane at
admin@eaasports.org with any registration issues.
When is the last date to register?
Each sport will determine
their specific “close date” for registration. For travel sports, the
“close date” is a hard date with few exceptions. For in-house sports,
the “close date” is more flexible. Typically, the “close date” for the
in-house sports is anywhere from a few weeks to a few days prior to the
coaches meeting or when an age group is full (all teams have maximum
number of players).
Space is limited for all
our programs and registrations are accepted on a first come, first
served basis. Participants who register late in the process may be
placed on a waiting list and added when another participant cancels
their sport registration or if a decision is made to adjust team
allocations for any age group. It is highly recommended and is in the
best interest of your child to register early or on time for your
sport.
My credit card transaction is not working, how
can I register?
You will need to mail in
a copy of the registration form with a check payment for the sport fee.
Please mail it to:
EAA c/o MinnWest Bank
1150 Yankee Doodle Road
Eagan, MN 55121
On the top of the
registration form please include a note indicating that you had trouble
with the credit card transaction. We will ensure that you do not double
pay; and if that does happen, we will refund one of the payments.
How can I pay by check?
Two options:
(1) You may bring your check to the EAA In-Person Registration. Please
refer to the home page of the EAA web site at
www.eaasports.org for the date, time and location.
(2) You may mail in a
copy of the registration form with a check payment for the sport fee.
Please mail it to:
EAA c/o MinnWest Bank
1150 Yankee Doodle Road
Eagan, MN 55121
Is your credit card site secure?
Yes. During the credit
card processing, you are brought to a separate site powered by viaKlix.
I forgot to add a player/coach request to my
child’s registration, how can I add that information now?
Email your request
(including your child’s name and registration number) to either the EAA
Administrator at
admin@eaasports.org or the specific Sport Director. To contact the
sport director, go the EAA web site at
www.eaasports.org, select the
Contact Us tab from the choices that run across the top of
the page.
For in-house sports,
whether player or coach requests are used during team formation is
determined by the sport director. If requests are used, the age group
coordinators (who are the volunteers that form the teams) try to satisfy
requests (especially mutual requests), but please keep in mind that
no request is guaranteed.
For travel sports,
typically try-outs are used to form teams thus requests are not used
during team formation.
I did not print or I lost my medical form, can
you send one to me?
The Emergency Information
and Medical Form is available on the EAA web site at
www.eaasports.org. See the right panel of the home page under EAA
News. Select Emergency Information Form and follow the link, which will
download the form for you to print out and bring to your first practice.
This form is for the coach to keep during the season.
My registration information was incorrect, how
do I fix it?
Email the EAA
Administrator at
admin@eaasports.org. Please include your child’s name and
registration number as well as the registration information that needs
to be corrected. The registration data will then be updated with the
information you provided. You should receive an email confirming that
the changes have been applied.

REFUNDS
How do I request a refund?
Email the sport director
with your refund request. In your email, please include the
participant’s name and registration number. Also, including the reason
for the refund is helpful to the sport director. To contact the sport
director, go the EAA web site at
www.eaasports.org, select the
Contact Us tab from the choices that run across the top of
the page. You should receive communication back from the sport director
that your refund was submitted. It will take 2-4 weeks for the request
to be processed.
What is your refund policy?
In general, registration
fees will not be returned after team formation unless approved by the
sport’s director. An in-house sport director may chose to refund up
until practices start; but, once practices start, refunds are not
given. Travel sports will give a refund to any participant that
doesn’t make a team.

MAILING LIST / REGISTRATION
DATA
Do you sell my personal information?
No. It is against our
policy to provide any part of your registration information for a
purpose outside of EAA.
Can I get on your mailing list/email list?
Yes, please send your
email address to the EAA Administrator at
admin@eaasports.org. If you have any children currently
participating in EAA, please provide their names and any registration
numbers you might have. We will then update the registration data with
your email address.
If you are new to EAA,
once you have registered a child for a sport program, you will be on the
mailing list/email list. Until then, you will need to watch for
registration advertisement in the local newspaper or ask neighbors who
participate in EAA to let you know.
Can you take me off your mailing/emailing list?
Yes, please email the EAA
Administrator at
admin@eaasports.org with the request to remove your address and/or
any/all email addresses. Please state the email address that is
receiving our mailings so we can clear it from our data. If you have any
registration numbers and the sport season (e.g., Winter 2007), please
include this information as well. Once removed from our data, you will
no longer receive any mailings from EAA. This includes registration
mailings.

TEAM PLACEMENT
How will you contact me about my team?
For in-house sports,
around the time of the coaches meeting (roughly 1-2 weeks prior to the
start of the season), an EAA email will be sent to you that contains
your team name, coaches’ names and their contact information along with
possibly other information about the start of your season (e.g., your
schedule). In addition, after the coaches meeting, your coach should
contact you via email or phone.
For travel sports, you
should receive a call from a coach or the sport director within the
designated time provided to you during the tryout process.
My child is not on a team with his/her friends,
what happened?
With regards to in-house
sports, Age Group Coordinators work very hard to create the teams and
try to satisfy requests on the registrations when requests are allowed
for that sport. However, many factors go into forming teams (such as
the number of participants for an age group, the number of players on a
team, balancing grades when the age group is more than one grade,
balancing participants from schools). Because so many requests are
received, EAA does not guarantee any request.
My child was not placed with the coach we
requested, what happened? Can this be switched?
For most sports, getting
enough coach volunteers is always a struggle. Age Group Coordinators
work very hard to create the teams and try to satisfy requests on the
registrations when the sport allows them. However, many factors go into
forming teams (such as the number of players on a team, more than a
team’s worth of kids requested the same coach, balancing grades when the
age group is more than one grade, balancing participants from schools).
Because so many requests are received, EAA does not guarantee any
request. Once the teams are formed and announced, we do not
switch players between teams.

Coaches
When will I hear from my coach?
Each in-house sport
usually has a Coaches Meeting roughly 1-2 weeks before the start of the
season. At this meeting, the coach will receive their team and contact
information. Your coach should contact you via email or phone following
this meeting. In addition, an EAA email will be sent to you that
contains your team name, coaches’ names and their contact information
along with possibly other information about the start of your season
(e.g., your schedule).

Do you collect old uniforms?
Typically, no. If we are
contacted by another group to collect old sport uniforms, we will
announce this collection opportunity in the EAA Newsletter. The event
will be associated with an In-Person Registration time.
