In-House Baseball

Welcome to In-House Baseball

First practices will be held on May 3rd or 4th for Mites through Majors, and the week of May 17 for Ponies and Mustangs.

Playoffs are held for Minors, Majors, Ponies and Mustangs.  Exact playoff dates are TBD, but some games may be held the weekends of July 10th and July 17th for Minors and Majors.  There will be semi-final and final playoff games the weekend of July 24th for Ponies and Mustangs.  This year the Ponies and Mustang semi-final and final playoff games will be hosted in Lakefield by the Lakeville Baseball Association.

There are seven age divisions that range from Kindergarten to 11th grade.  Practices will begin in early May and games will start mid May, except the 8th-9th and 10th-11th grade levels where games typically do not start until after Memorial Day.  The season ends in mid-July. Normally there will be two games, two practices, or a practice/game combination scheduled per week.  Each division (Mites - Majors) will be divided up into two leagues and have their games and practices scheduled on either a Monday and Wednesday night league or a Tuesday and Thursday night league.  The Ponies and Mustang age level games are on random nights, but we try and keep them to Monday-Thursday. Friday evenings and weekends will be used only if necessary (i.e. make up games) and for the season ending playoff tournaments.

Team Selection Criteria

Mites – Minors

An age division coordinator will form the team. The teams will be formed as follows:

  1. Head Coach and their mutual assistant coach requests, up to three for Mites through squirts and two for minors and majors.
  2. Players who request each other, only one other name is allowed. Requests must be mutual.
  3. Elementary school, but not guaranteed.
  4. Majors, Ponies and Mustangs teams are formed by a coach’s draft, so no player requests can be accepted.

NOTE: Late sign-ups will be placed on teams with availability only. No special requests will be honored.

Majors, Ponies and Mustang Player Draft

Purpose of the draft system is to achieve as much team parity as possible. This will provide each team with adequate pitchers and catchers as well as a reasonable disbursement of players of all skill level into each team.

Player to player requests will not be honored at these age levels.

Requests will be honored for head coach and one assistant only.

EAA Refund Policy

  • Full refund until team formation
  • 75% refund once teams are formed and distributed to coaches until the first practice and uniform distribution.
  • No refund after the first practice and/or uniform distribution.
