Scholarships

The Eagan Athletic Association (EAA) seeks to provide the development of the community's youth through athletics. The EAA has created a scholarship program which may provide some financial assistance for need-based families.

For questions about the scholarship process, please e-mail scholarship@eaasports.org

Scholarship Guidelines

• A parent or legal guardian of a participant who qualifies for ISD #196's free/reduced lunch program or Department of Health and Human Services Temporary Assistance for Need Families (TANF Emergency Fund) program may apply for a scholarship for financial assistance of registration fees (see listing below for FULL or PARTIAL scholarships). You must submit a copy of your qualification letter with your scholarship application.

For guidelines and information on ISD #196's free and reduced lunch program go to: http://www.district196.org/District/Departments/FoodNutrition/Menus/Pricing.pdf

• Eligibility for our scholarship program does not guarantee that you will receive assistance. Funds are limited and will be distributed as available on a first-come, first served basis to those who qualify.

FULL Scholarships cover the following registration fees in full: In-House Baseball, In-House Basketball, In-House Football 3rd - 6th Grade, In-House Kickball, In-House Spring Indoor Lacrosse, In-House Spring Field Lacrosse, In-House Summer Lacrosse, Club Varsity Lacrosse, In-House Soccer, In-House Softball, In-House Track, In-House Spring Volleyball, In-House Fall Volleyball, In-House Wrestling and Fall Fastpitch.

PARTIAL Scholarships apply to the following programs and cover up to the comparable registration fee from the FULL Scholarship list: ERAVE Youth Football, Traveling Baseball, Traveling Basketball, Traveling Fastpitch, League Only Fastpitch, Traveling Soccer and Traveling Volleyball.

• Recipients must live within the participation boundaries of the EAA.

• Scholarships are limited to 3 programs per year per child.

• Scholarships only apply to the sport registration fee. All other additional fees such as uniforms, tournament fees, camps and clinics, are not eligible for scholarship funds. All fees above and beyond the registration fee are the responsibility of the participant.

• Scholarships will not be granted for registration fees already paid. You must submit the application first, then if approved you will receive instructions for how to register.

• Late or incomplete application submissions may result in participants not being placed on a team.

• EAA will use reasonable care to keep all information confidential.
