Welcome to the 2011 Track Season!

While the "Pink Frost" may sound like a cute cupcake, we predict the girls will be icy slick this season!  The track meets for 3rd grade girls this year will run on Saturday afternoons from 12:00 to approximately 2:30 at the Eagan High School Track inside Wildcat Stadium.  The first meet will be on April 16, and we will have our last of five meets on May 21 (Easter Weekend will be skipped). 

For those of you who have not participated in the EAA track program before, we will have three field events:  Running Long Jump, Standing Long Jump, and Baseball Throw, and seven track events:  50, 70, 100, 200 and 400 meter runs, as well as a shuttle relay and 4 X 100m relay.  Our goal this year is to expose all of the athletes to the great sport of Track and Field and to make it a fun experience. As in the past, no spikes are allowed.

Prior to each meet, you will receive a sheet which outlines the events that your daughter will be participating in on Saturday.  We will also have copies at the meet for your use.  Each girl will participate in all of the events at least once throughout the season, and in at least three track and one field event each Saturday.
