Eagan Rugby has high school and middle school teams for boys and girls, as well as our "Dragons" K-5 camps/flag program. We are open to all players living in Eagan and surrounding areas. Players in all ISD 192 and 196 schools including Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, Farmington, Rosemount, and the School of Environmental Science can earn their varsity letter.
Registration for our regular spring seasons typically opens in January, with training beginning in early March for high school and around the beginning of April for Middle School. Our 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to attend our pre-season high school training sessions in March as well. These seasons end around the end of the school year. Summer 7s rugby (Olympic rugby) for high school boys and girls begins in mid-June, and runs to late July/early August. Visit the tabs at the top of the page for our various programs.
Rugby teaches total body skills including safe tackling that carry over in to multiple sports, and is a fantastic spring sport for fall football players. No experience is necessary!
Our program is one of the leading programs in the state. Our Varsity Girls were 2022 State Champions and Varsity Boys were the 2021 State Champions. Our Varsity Girls and Boys teams travel nationally and internationally. Read more about Eagan Rugby on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter @EaganRugby. If you have questions or have a rugby background and are interested in coaching, please contact the Rugby Sport Director.
Eagan Rugby offers competitive programs that participate in the middle school and high school levels, as well as "Dragons" (flag/touch) rugby for grades K-5, drawing from students in and around the Eagan area, including all ISD 196 and 192 schools.
The Registration "Rugby" is not currently available.
