This is an introductory flag rugby camp for kids in grades K-8 in the Eagan, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Farmington and surrounding areas. Rugby is a great sport for kids of all abilities, shapes and sizes. Everybody plays, everybody carries the ball. This camp is a great way for kids to check rugby out, or for our returning middle school players to get some skills work in. The camp runs on six consecutive Sundays. For kids in grades 5-8, this serves as a prelude to our spring middle school season (we’d love for all players to continue on). Cost is only $45 and includes a FREE t-shirt. Kids only need gym shoes and sports clothing (this will be indoors at the Blackhawk middle school gym)

Program Overview

Eagan Rugby has high school and middle school teams for boys and girls.  Our program is open to all players living in Eagan and surrounding areas, and all ISD 196 schools including Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount, Apple Valley and the School of Environmental Science. Our program is also open to players in the Farmington district.  Varsity players can letter for ISD 192 and 196 schools.

Registration for our regular spring seasons typically opens in January, with training beginning in early March for high school and around the beginning of April for Middle School.  These seasons end around the end of the school year.  Summer 7s rugby (Olympic rugby) for high school boys and girls begins in mid-June, and runs to late July/early August.

Rugby teaches total body skills including safe tackling that carry over in to multiple sports, and is a fantastic spring sport for fall football players.  No experience is necessary!
