All Eagan Rugby activities are suspended until further notice. All spring season registrations will be refunded. In the event we are able to resume training/practice, we will generate a new registration with reduced fees to correspond to any shortened season. The earliest we may be able to resume would be May 4th, pending resumption of school athletics.
We have partnered with Maxmead Fitness to offer an app-based training program that all kids can do at home, including options that do not require equipment. This is FREE to all Eagan rugby athletes through the end of April. For more information, email the Director of Rugby.
Eagan Rugby has high school and middle school teams for boys and girls. Our program is open to all players living in Eagan and surrounding areas, and all ISD 196 schools including Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount, Apple Valley and the School of Environmental Science. Our program is also open to players in the Farmington district. Varsity players can letter for ISD 192 and 196 schools.
Registration for our regular spring seasons typically opens in January, with training beginning in early March for high school and around the beginning of April for Middle School. These seasons end around the end of the school year. Summer 7s rugby (Olympic rugby) for high school boys and girls begins in mid-June, and runs to late July/early August.
Rugby teaches total body skills including safe tackling that carry over in to multiple sports, and is a fantastic spring sport for fall football players. No experience is necessary!
